The School’s History

Hil Liverpool was established in 2015 by a group of ambitious young people who began offering small class sizes and English language courses for students looking to improve their language skills. Despite initial challenges in securing a fixed location, this did not hinder their progress. They started by holding small classes at a friend’s house before renting a hall from a school, which they used throughout 2016 and 2017. Eventually, they secured a permanent location at St. James Mission Hall on Windsor Street in Liverpool—a venue that has also served as a cultural center since 2001.
