Ireland - Cork
Cork English College is an award-winning academic institution specializing in English language teaching in Ireland. Founded in 1978 by Valerie Cullen, the school has been voted "Best Language School" for three consecutive years. Now managed by Mark, the founder’s son, it began as a summer camp for teenagers at Douglas Community School—a location that still offers summer programs today.
Originally known as Language Activity Holidays (LAH), the college established its first branch for adult English language programs on St. Patrick’s Quay in 1994, leading to its renaming as Cork English College. Due to high demand and increasing enrollment, a second branch opened nearby. Five years later, the college relocated its headquarters to the heart of Cork city, on St. Patrick’s Bridge.
Cork English College’s campus blends historic charm with modern amenities. Each building features a computer lab, complimentary Wi-Fi, and classrooms equipped with cutting-edge technology, including interactive whiteboards.
