IH Manchester was established by Pete and Kate, a passionate couple who first met in Verona, Italy. Their shared love for English language teaching led them to work together at the (Bell School) in Prague, Czech Republic, before expanding their expertise across the UK—teaching in cities like Canterbury, Oxford, and Cheltenham. Eventually, they became part of the renowned International House World Organization (IHWO).
In 2014, Pete had an innovative idea: combining English language learning with a summer football program. The concept was enthusiastically supported by football coach Mick, inspiring them to open a dedicated IH Manchester branch—where language education meets the spirit of the world’s most beloved sport.
IH Manchester is just a two-minute walk from Piccadilly Gardens, offering easy access to shopping centers and popular attractions. The school aims to provide an ideal learning environment through a variety of courses tailored to academic and professional needs. IH International House is accredited by the British Council and is a member of English UK.
