Health Specialties Track: The Overview

The healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia is rapidly evolving, now standing as a vital field equal in importance to education.

Aligned with Vision 2030, the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health have launched a specialized scholarship track for medical disciplines under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program.

This initiative ensures a steady supply of skilled professionals for the healthcare sector, simplifies the scholarship process, and supports both public and private healthcare needs.

As part of Vision 2030, this program has already enhanced Saudi students' academic credentials, opening doors to high-profile careers—progress that continues toward the Vision’s completion.

General Criteria

Saudi nationals only; medically fit.
No prior degree at the applied level (local/international).
No previous scholarship for the same level.
Degrees from abroad require official equivalency.
Full-time study commitment in the host country.

Specialized Scholarship Conditions

Field	Bachelor’s	Master’s / Fellowship
Nursing	- High school diploma or equivalent (obtained within the last 5 years). - Minimum GPA of 85%. - 70% in Aptitude and Achievement Tests (or via CBT). - Admission to a recommended university abroad. - Clinical training included in the program.	- Minimum GPA: 2.75/4, 3.75/5, or 80/100. - IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 46. - Bachelor’s degree obtained within the last 5 years. - Master’s must be in clinical programs only.
Applied Medical Sciences	- High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum GPA of 90%. - 80% in Aptitude and Achievement Tests (or via CBT). - IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 46. - Pass university-required tests/interviews. - Clinical training included.	- Same as Nursing (Master’s requirements). - Master’s must be in clinical programs only.
Human Medicine	- High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum GPA of 95%. - 85% in Aptitude and Achievement Tests (or via CBT). - IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL IBT 46.	Fellowship: - Bachelor’s in Human Medicine. - Minimum "Good" grade. - Pass SCFHS classification exam. - IELTS 6 or equivalent. - Direct admission to accredited programs or USMLE1 + Observership/6-month research fellowship.
