Edinburgh School of English was founded in 1969 on the Royal Mile in the historic Old Town. In the early 1980s, the school merged with the educational organization Eurostudents. By the early 1990s, the couple Martin and Margot took over its management and relocated it to Cranston Church, still on the iconic Royal Mile. Recently, the school moved to Queen Street in the heart of New Town, situated within the campus of Basil Paterson College—a building distinguished by its classic Georgian architecture.
