Foundation and Location

Founded in 1978 by a group of dedicated academic professionals, Galway Language Centre is located in the heart of Galway, Ireland. Galway, the third-largest city in Ireland after Dublin and Cork, overlooks the scenic River Corrib. The school is housed in the historic Bridge Mills, a restored 19th-century flour mill dating back to 1800. After decades of operation, the mill was renovated and repurposed as a hub for languages, arts, and culture—now home to Galway Language Centre.
